The role
Our Production Planning Team is essential to ensuring our customers receive the Huel they love—on time, every time. In this role, you'll blend analytical thinking with operational expertise to keep our production lines running efficiently and stock levels balanced, directly enhancing the customer experience.
You’ll be instrumental in maintaining 100% product availability across our Ecom and Retail channels, using best-in-class planning to strike the perfect balance between availability and wastage, all while supporting Huel’s rocket ship growth across D2C and retail. Here's an insight into your day-to-day
- Deliver on Our Customer Promise of ‘Never Out of Stock’: Through best in class planning, your job will be to balance product availability and wastage risk by maintaining optimal stock levels, supporting our rocket ship growth across D2C and retail channels.
- Build Strong Relationships: Foster direct, collaborative relationships with manufacturing partners to secure excellent service levels and operational efficiency.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot root causes of operational issues to ensure smooth, efficient day-to-day performance across your area.
- Collaborate for Supply Chain Success: Coordinate with our sourcing and materials teams to ensure materials and packaging are ready to meet production needs, while working with logistics teams to plan outbound finished goods effectively.
- Data-Driven Reporting: Provide accurate, timely reports on product availability and forward stock coverage, with robust checks to eliminate surprises.
- Share Expertise: Champion best practices within your team, fostering knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.
- Drive Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings, increased capacity, and improved waste reduction across supply planning and execution.
- System Accuracy and Integrity: Ensure all production-related transactions at your site are accurately recorded in Huel’s Planning and Finance systems to support systematic accuracy and integrity.
What we're looking for in you
We’re after someone who blends technical capability with a proactive mindset, someone who sees supply chain planning as both a science and an opportunity to innovate. Here’s what we think you’ll bring:
- We’re especially keen to hear from candidates with STEM backgrounds (e.g. Maths, Engineering, Physics), or anyone with strong analytical and data-driven experience in supply chain, operations, or planning roles.
- Confidence working with data, comfortable in Excel or Google Sheets, and ideally familiar with data tools or supply chain systems.
- A strong analytical approach to problem-solving, able to identify patterns, forecast needs, and make recommendations based on numbers.
- Extreme attention to detail. You care about accuracy, whether it’s stock levels, lead times, or wastage forecasts.
- With a collaborative working style, you’ll interact with teams across Huel, so communication and teamwork are key.
- Adaptability and drive, you’re energised by fast-paced environments and love taking ownership of your work.
