The role

Huel has an excellent reputation for the highest standards of customer service, and our Operations Team play a huge role in ensuring we deliver on our promise of never being out of stock.

To ensure we continue delivering on our promise, we’re hiring a Raw Materials Planning Executive to join us on a 12-month FTC in our Raw Materials team. In this role, you’ll keep production running smoothly by ensuring the right ingredients are always available to create the products our customers love. Here's an insight into your day-to-day :

• Our products are made up of various raw materials. You’ll work cross-functionally to understand how much of each ingredient is needed and ensure they’re always in supply
• Create accurate plans and maintain optimal stock levels within targets you have set by factoring in lead time, shelf life and order quantities.
• Assist with purchasing for all product ranges, including NPD trials and recipe changes—as our range continues to grow
• Being responsible for placing replenishment orders to fulfil the production plan (maintained by the Product Supply team), adapting quickly to change so we can produce the right quantities at the right time
• Work closely with our warehouses on inbound deliveries and any issues that arise, ensuring a high service level from our suppliers and smooth day-to-day operations
• Assist with organising scheduled transport and ensuring these shipments go ahead
• Developing great supplier relationships alongside Procurement, to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, resolving supply risks and providing regular forecast updates.
• We work with food, so shelf life is super important! You’ll need to make sure that the materials stock is fit for purpose and accurate in the system
• Maintain accurate and timely wastage reports, and forecast any potential stock loss - we hate waste so the target is to keep this to the absolute bare minimum
• You'll communicate regularly with suppliers, manufacturers, and warehouses, updating them with a whole range of information.

What we're looking for in you

This role will be ideal for someone with around 1-3 years of experience in Supply Chain. You’ll have foundation knowledge of purchasing, stock control, finance and quality management. You'll also need :

• To be proficient with either Excel or Google Sheets.  Managing raw material stock levels and knowing exactly where they’re needed for production is a super crucial part of our supply chain’s effectiveness.
• You'll have an analytical mindset and excellent attention to detail.
• You'll be a great collaborator, as you'll work with many teams to create a raw material plan which is critical to our success
• Problem solving is essential, making sure you are adaptable and proactive in finding resolutions
