Technologist

Job description

We are looking for a super Technologist to join our quality and technical team. The Technologist will work closely with the NPD team to develop products and will ensure that product standards are maintained at, and following product launch. 

 

The successful candidate will assist or carry out GMP audits and will make sure that suppliers follow up on any actions following sites visits or audits and ensure all product and process standards are clearly captured and communicated via product specifications.

 

  • Attend and assist product trials
  • Attend first productions
  • Ensure that supplier and production standards are met through supplier plans and visits
  • Assist with supplier selection and approval
  • Ensure that specifications are fully completed and agreed with suppliers
  • Assist the quality team with the completion of product specific QAS’s and train these out at suppliers
  • Ensure that any customer complaints are fully investigated at suppliers and that corrective actions are put into place
  • Carry out risk assessments and effectively communicate risk to internal teams
  • Fully understand relevant production processes

Requirements

  • A degree in Food Science / Technology or similar
  • Knowledge of food legislation
  • Knowledge of food processing preferably with some food manufacturing experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Great problem solver
  • Willing to travel
