We are looking for a PR & media relations manager to become a key member of the Marketing Team working globally to help shape, create and deliver a full culture and comms plan specifically focussing on earned media. We have delivered strong early stage earned coverage in the UK with the launch of Huel and selected launch coverage in Europe and US. It is now time to take this to the next level to create mass awareness of the brand’s credibility as a provider of a healthy convenient food that is a great alternative to a snack, sandwich or missed meal. This is no ordinary PR role. Its big, challenging and you will need to be top of your game across strategy, creative content, who you know and how you get great stuff out there for our consumers to see.
What you’ll be doing…
Leveraging the overall brand and communications strategy and develop a PR strategy to drive earned coverage across involve broadcast, traditional, online and social.
Creating the content and news hooks in partnership with the marketing team, our founder Julian and agencies to amplify current marketing activities and events and also stand alone communications
Working externally with the media and a wide range of potential partners to drive coverage and news for Huel
Be externally facing, living and breathing the external culture and landscape to find ways and angles to tell our brand story in new and engaging ways
Work closely with our PR agencies in UK, US and Europe to develop winning plans and content depending on stage of market
Champion our tone of voice and how to bring that to life across different channels that we don’t own
Create innovative on-brand creative and content yourself, as well as working with agencies and partners
Supporting with key messages and content requirements for campaigns and projects
Developing your knowledge of our products, nutrition and the overall market, to generate different content and news angles
A creative maverick always thinking of ideas and stories and ways to tell the world about Huel
Experience of creating content or communication either within the media itself, an agency or a similar in house brand role.
Initiative and self starter. You are scrappy and will find ways of doing things yourself. This is not a big traditional brand with big traditional budgets and you will see that as an amazing opportunity!
Hungry to make a difference
Good knowledge of the media landscape across broadcast, traditional, online and social and experienced at building media relations. Excellent communication skills
