NPD Executive - Ready to Drink

Job description

This is a new role, responsible for owning & developing new proposals across our RTD category. You will drive innovation, bringing the business with you on a journey to be leaders in Complete Food. You will collaborate with the wider Operations, Nutrition & Marketing teams on delivery of exciting additions to the Huel product range, with a keen focus on processing requirements, liaising with manufacturing partners & pushing the RTD product to be best in class. 

  • To be the expert & own our RTD category, being ahead of the competitors on all the latest ingredient innovations
  • Work closely with the Senior NPD Manager & Marketing director to develop a comprehensive RTD innovation strategy to translate category & trends into NPD opportunities
  • To ensure the business is at the forefront of innovation
  • To ensure that all new products are developed in line with the business' strategy. These must consider commercial targets- with a constant focus on improving these
  • Impeccable compliance and communication at each stage effectively both internally & externally
  • To manage the delivery of RTD from respective sites, including supplier visits
  • To ensure that all developments satisfy price, quality, technical & operational parameters by means of a feasibility process, before sharing with the NPD leads
  • Motivate & influence the NPD team & Huel business to think differently- think bigger
  • To be aware of and apply with brand standards & FSA standards on a global scale


  • 3+ years Experience in an innovation, Development or equivalent role
  • Degree in Food science, nutrition or equivalent is desirable
  • A clear ingredient functionality narrative that helps us select best in class raw materials that fit the RTD product
  • Knowledge of Liquid processing (milk, sauces, etc.) requirements is desirable but not essential
  • Previous project management experience with a clear understanding of the value add this brings
  • Able to work both as an individual & a team player
  • Must be creative and have a thirst for knowledge
  • Not frightened to challenge the “norm”
